- Anything other than printed matter must be declared/described on the voucher
- Describe packaging as well as the container
- IF it is a generic envelope, then “envelope” is fine
- BUT if it is a FEDEX envelope, then say “FEDEX envelope”
- Pack appropriately. As it is usually being transported via commercial carrier, it should meet commercial carrier standards:
- General Packing Requirements (shipment must be packaged to be able to…)
- Withstand 8 to 12 physical handlings
- Withstand pressure of up to 60 lbs. Per square foot
- Slide on any surface
- Withstand a 12-inch drop to any surface
- Tolerate 30 seconds in the rain
- IMPORTANT: Packages get handled exactly like ulggage at the airport!
- Make sure your package(s) are properly sealed.
